How can i get to a better paying job within a Bachelor of Education (high-school teaching)? We Answered:
Perhaps you can always work as a tutor, although it isn't like the classroom (I know you mentioned you disliked it). Another way would be taking up substute teaching at a vocational school. It's not longterm, maybe only a day or two at a time. I know some substitute teachers in Michigan get paid $75.00 for subbing for 4 hours work. Additionally, there are also opportunities to help individuals at the local senior center and at the library.....all great experiences with extra cash in your pocket. There are also opportunities at local rest homes or book stores if you enjoy reading a book to people. Again, I don't know if some of these ideas you would like to do, just thought it might help. If you further your education and earn your Masters Degree, that would open the doors to many opportunities for you...and you can get it in less than two years if you go full time! Good luck in your endeavors!!Bessie Said:
What is the better choice for graduate school? Education, or Computers? We Answered:
This really depends on which career you wish to follow. And of course, there are some excellent careers that combine education and computers. You could teach classes in something to do with computer technology (whether in a high school, at a college or trade school, or basic classes for adults looking to become more computer literate). Or you could get a higher degree in education with a focus on using new technologies in the classroom and could teach teachers how to implement new tools, use software, etc. to enhance their teaching or work for a company that designs, markets and sells educational technologies and software to schools.I would suggest choosing your degree based on specific career goals rather than going in with a vague idea that whatever degree you're getting will get you a better job. And you should like what you're doing both in your studies and your eventual career. Shop around graduate programs to make sure the one you're choosing is meant to prepare you for the kind(s) of career that interest you.
By the way, if you want to teach at the college level, your masters/PhD should be in the subject you want to teach, not in education. Unless you want to teach education.

Passionate about personal growth and development---Looking for higher education opportunities or jobs?We Answered:
For what you say you want to do psychology would be the perfect career choice. There are many ways that working in the psychological field would help you to achieve these objectives. What do you think psychology is about if it isn't to help people with their personal and social growth?? That's what people go to therapist for to help with their own personal development and to learn how to get along better with the wider world around them. You should talk to some of the therapist in your school and some one one the staff in the psych department to see what they've been able to do with their lives. That would help you. But you would get better responses if you posted this in another area. This area if for parents and students who have learning disabilities.Karen Said:
