Allen Said:

Where do I find information on the best ways to teach English to foreign students?

We Answered:

daveseslcafe.com
tefl.net
usingenglish.com

It will of course depend on the age and ability of your students, but I've used these websites and they're a good start.

Another thing would be to do a facebook search for TEFL teachers, there are loads of groups and I'm sure you can ask for help with more specific topics if you need to.

Bon Voyage!

Ramona Said:

I'm teaching English as a second language to children and adults in Costa Rica.?

We Answered:

I taught English as a second language without benefit of books as well, but to older college age kids. With them, I stimulated speech through debate on social issues that were pertinent to their lives, and I took their sentences and put them on the black board to help them see how to write and punctuate correctly. You might try the same type of thing with songs or the story game where everyone has to add the next sentence to an ongoing story.
