korean summer camps- English Teaching jobs?

We Answered:

I taught English in Korea but not through one of those camps..
My friend actually did though...
Try sticking to the bigger companies.. like YBM
Don't teach at public schools... If you want to meet alot of fellow Americans during your stay, anywhere in Seoul like near Itaewon is cool..
Make sure you get benefits..
The living conditions weren't that great but can't complain..
it's free...The bathrooms are really tiny... the whole house is...
more like a studio room..some are better some are worse..depends..
My friend was getting paid alittle more that two thousand a month plus he was tutoring kids in his spare time which he charged fifty dollars an hour so he was making ok money...
considering he had no bills to pay.. except his cell..
um..try picking schools in bigger cities like seoul, dae jun, dae gu.. busan is big too but too far...
Hope this helped!!

Part time teaching jobs in Seoul for next summer?

We Answered:

Hi, read your other questions.
I'm sure there would be a lot of teaching jobs for next summer including summer camps. But summer camps would probably require you to stay at the camp all through out the program(they provide the lodging). There are also those so-called "summer camps",some english academies just hold summer programs or classes but don't really stay in camps. The students and instructors just come and go everyday. I saw a lot of ads like that for this year. They also provide lodging and visa processing. But if you're planing to study, there might be some conflict with schedules and visa restrictions. (though case would be diff. if ur admitted with work visa and then study on free time)
Another way would be, working in a kindergarten. A lot of English teachers in Korea seem to work in kinders, ie work in public sch. or hagwon in the morning then kindergarten in the afternoon or viceversa.
And since your Korean classes would be only in the morning (or afternoon depends on your choice), you can also use your free time to do private teaching/tutoring. Although this would be illegal and possibly violation of visa restrictions.

I'm a college student looking for a summer job teaching English in Japan. Where do i start?

We Answered:

I would call a temp. agency, and try to get a short-term job, and/or do some odd-jobs for people (mowing lawns, etc.)

As far as language goes, start with letters, as theirs are different, and you need to start with the basics.

Good Luck ^_^*
