The lovely Jewish healing verses below. written by Rabbi Shohama Wiener, are  based on the biblical text where Moses prays for his sister Miririam's healing by calling out: "Ah-na El na", "PLEASE RESPOND GOD!" "r'fa na la", "HEAL HER."

Many find it comforting and effective to draw on this ancient plea in praying for our own healing. Chant it over and over.
Perhaps a melody will come to you.
Perhaps focus on the pure water of the falls soothing you.
If you can, sit near water or an open sky and chant the verse, notice your breath as you do.

May the waters of healing, flow through my (her/his) soul.
May the waters of healing, flow through my (her/his)heart.  May the waters of healing flow through my (her/his) form.  Ah-na El na, please Holy One

R'fa na la...Let your healing be done
Ah-na El na, Please heal my (her/his) soul
R'fa na la...let me (her/him) be whole.

What follows is a mystical approach to healing meditation and prayer. It is drawn from my training in Jewish mysticism and psychoneuroimmunology.

Begin by getting into as comfortable a position as you can.  Notice your breath and color it in your imagination to be your favorite, most healing color.  Breathe in and out.  Take your time.
Chant the healing verses above, over and over until the chant seems to be doing itself.  Breathe.
Notice the Cosmos responding to your openness to comfort and healing.
A column of light you had not noticed before is sweetly pouring into the top of your head and moving through you, past brain and eyes, deep cortex, neck, into spine and back... deep into the areas that need healing...
   Breathe.
Allow yourself to glow with the color of the light you receive, let the light concentrate where healing is most needed...gently hold it there....it is a river of light, the Kabbalists' river of light, the waters of healing....
    Breathe.
Call out "ah-na El na....r'fa na la
Keep calling as much and strong as come through you...crying is allowed.....remember the river of light....let it swirl through your spinal column, flooding your pelvis, radiating through your legs.
    Breathe.
Notice the light super-activating any medications or treatments, dancing their power of healing within you.      Breathe.
Notice the river of light sweeping up impurities and carrying them away from you.
Allow the Healing Light to sweep through you.      Breathe.
The river of light is being received into the loving recycling earth.   Allow it to leave, guide it through your feet or bottom to the earth.
    Breathe.
Whisper "thank you" to The Source.  "Thank You..."   "Thank you."
   Breathe.
Notice how you feel.
   Breathe.

Now, gently, return yourself to full consciousness.
