Can you give schools in New Mexico or Washington that accepts direct/online application of internat'l teachers? We Answered:
Type in New Mexico school districts and then you will get all the districts in the state and you can apply online. Washington should be the same. Remember that you must pass the State teacher licensure requirements for each state, the FBI criminal check,Homeland Security, etc. Good luck.Leslie Said:
How to program online software? We Answered:
C++ could do it, but usually you would be better off with Java, kind of depends on your purpose. PHP and server side scripting could be useful as well.Thomas Said:
Where are all the teaching jobs?We Answered:
I'm an aspiring teacher from Wisconsin. I actually have 1 semester of college left. Anyways, how to find a job is a hot topic in my classes. Unfortunately, there's no easy answer. Depending on what you're certified in it can nearly be impossible! Secondary English and Social Studies is the hardest position to get, it's not uncommon to have 100+ applicants for 1 position. Even elementary positions fill up fast. Unless you're background is in Math or Science job seeking will be a struggle. From what I've heard, sometimes you have to take on a few temporary positions until one turns into full time, or work as a substitute for a while. Also, if you take 2 (it may differ per state) semesters of Spanish you can be certified to teach ELL classes which is another shoe-in for job seeking. Also, Special Ed positions are always open and you don't need any additional training to teach them, though you may find yourself teaching outside of your subject area. One last thing, if you're willing to coach or lead any kind of extra-curricular it may put you above the rest when it comes to job hunting.
It sounds like you're pretty rooted to the spot, but I have heard that there's a big demand for teachers down south: FL, TX, AZ.
You need to find a way to make yourself more desirable than everyone else, whether it's your impressive personality during an interview or your long list of credentials or your versatility. Unfortunately, I don't have any interview tips since I haven't done any of those yet.
If you really have a passion for teaching keep going after every opening you can find one will work out, hopefully sooner rather than later. But be aware that it may take a while to find a position, so in the mean time keep your eyes open for other job opportunities as well.
I just got an office job that I love and I'm starting to rethink my teaching plans, or maybe put them off for a while at least.

Florida Virtual School besides filling out online employ. application what's the best way 2 get a job there? We Answered:
If you have applied and submitted a resume, there isn't much more you can do. Im guessing they are flooded with resumes, so unless yours stands out from the rest you may be out of luck.Cody Said:
Online Teaching - Sent Many Applications - Not many responses? We Answered:
A lot of on-line places don't respond when you send your resume. Your best bet to find places that are actually actively hiring is to go to www.higheredjobs.com and www.chroniclejobs.com. Other than those 2 sites, you can go on to the websites of the individual schools in your area. Look for links to "employment" or "human resources". Another option is to do a search for on-line schools and go on each page and look in their HR section. Many colleges require you to fill out an application through their system before they will even consider you.Tyler Said:
Why would an employer ask for a picture when filling out a job application online that only relies on your?We Answered:
Alot of teaching positions require a picture. Even in the US. My sister is a teacher and with a lot of the applications that she filled out it required a recent headshot. I think it is mainly to just prove who you are.
