I am sure you could take most of your classes on line. Any major college, or community college if you are just starting, offers classes on line. But no, you would not be able to COMPLETE your degree on line. You have to consider your student teaching time, the PRAXIS and that sort of thing.

We Answered:

You need to finish a "state-approved teacher education programs including a student teaching or intern experience." There are a few on-line colleges where this can be done. After completing the course work you will have to student teach for a semester (sorry no getting around that). Somewhere during this time you will have to complete your Praxis Testing and start your application. There are new regulations for certification: you must have: a 3.0 GPA and academic preparation in math and English. Check at the PA Department of Education website for more information. Good luck!

There is at least one online school which you can get a BA and teaching cert. That is wgu.edu Western Governors Uni. It worked great for me.

There is also, I have heard grand canyon u which is a christian school that offers a similar degree.
