Public/Home School Issue?We Answered:
Well, I went to public school for 9 yrs., and although I personally didn't enjoy it, you're making it sound worse than it really is. First of all, no they DO NOT teach the Qur'an. And while they don't teach Christianity either, you can still go to church, religious youth groups, etc. I know sometimes kids do bring weapons to school, but in my school (the one I was at had slightly under 1,000 kids), nothing like that ever happened; in fact, nothing illegal ever happened except one kid bringing an extremely small amount of drugs, once, and he didn't even try to get others to use them, he just happened to have them on him. Also, they do (or they did at my old school), extensive locker checks for drugs, mandatory IDs for everyone in the school (so people can't just sneak in, adult or student), etc. And you know, while I wasn't necessarily one of the "popular" girls, I still had friends, and no one ever picked a fight w/ me. In 3 different public schools that I attended, only one fight ever occurred in the time that I was at any of them, and it lasted all of about 2 sec., because it was broken up immediately. No one even really disliked me, and it was the same way w/ pretty much all of the people that I knew.Nelson Said:
Is it right that a Christian teacher in an east London school has been sacked.?We Answered:
It is unfortunate but in this politically correct world, what is logical isn't always what is popular. It is wrong based on the data you have provided, but there could be underlying issues we don't know about. The headmaster may have wanted to sack this teacher anyway and this is the way they went about doing it. I think there is grounds for appeal, however.Robert Said:

What is base pay for a teacher at a private school? We Answered:
Look at the average annual salaries listed:http://www.privateschoolreview.com/priva…
The amount you make really depends upon where your school district is located and the individual private school itself (possibly your certification and additional education/degrees that you have).
