1. Prepare job application materials (Resume, vita, statement of teaching philosophy, pro forma cover letters, references, certificates/degrees)2. Research schools in that area (so easy these days with the internet!!) and California requirements for public school teachers.
3. Specifically research private schools and "special" schools. From what your saying, those sound like your best opportunity to actually get a job.
4. Be prepared to make very little money.
5. Move there if your serious about working there. Or else how can you go to interviews, etc...

The basic qualification for teaching English is a degree and a TEFL Certificate. This would be for an entry level job.If you have experience, then the next step is to take something like the CELTA and this allows you to go for jobs in the British Council and foreign Universities, etc.
After this comes a further degree such as an MA.

How can I teach at a law school in the near future?We Answered:
I am an attorney (currently inactive as I no longer need to practice). If you want to teach at a major law school, you should graduate at the top of your law school class at a top law school, be editor of the law review, clerk for a United States Circuit Court Judge, and preferably clerk at the Supreme Court as well.The international experience is unlikely to be of much help.
On the other hand, if you want to teach at a fourth tier law school, you should get to know some of the faculty who are also in practice in your city and you might be able to start as an adjunct professor.
