What are some school-related jobs besides teaching?

Counselor or librarian. You'll be around the kids, but you won't have to worry about dealing with parents all the time.

I have taught middle school for 5 years? I just got a job teaching 3rd grade.?

We Answered:

Kids going into third grade have just come out of second grade plus one summer holiday, so that's where they are mentally, physically, socially. They will have a pretty good vocabulary and understanding of how the English language works, be able to get along well with their peers, be "classroom civilized", be fairly well coordinated, and still be very cooperative and willing to please their kind and considerate teacher. They'll be ready for competitive sports at a "fun" level, and enjoy friendly competition in class activities.

Just drop your vocabulary level a little, don't talk too fast, and in the beginning, check to make sure they understand you. use your curriculum guides to tell you where to start in each subject. Be prepared for more childish mistakes and accidents than you are used to, and be prepared to help them more in most areas - not just the educational ones. Kids this age are a delight to work with, because they are still very eager to learn, and as long as your classroom management techniques are good, you'll have a ball teaching these little duffers.

What are good middle school jobs I could do?

We Answered:

You can try setting yourself up to do some chores for others. Ask your parents if they know anyone who might have work for you. You can mow lawns/shovel driveways depending on the season. Maybe help someone with gardening. Pet sitting/walking is another good one.
