How to get resources about teaching of poetry and prose at secondary school? We Answered:
YOu should probably invest in a good resource book to help you such as the one at one of the websites I've attached. YOu probably also need to talk to other people about this because from your question it is difficult to determine exactly what you need - are you a student yourself learning to be a teacher? Are you a high school student? Are you already teaching? The wording of your question suggests you need to do a lot of work to be prepared to teach poetry and prose to high school students.I hope this is of some help.

What are the best resources to teach elementary school language arts with comic books? We Answered:
Read anything by Stephen Krashen, Ph.D, linguistics prof at University of Southern California. Sorry, I don't have a title for you. He gives great seminars for teachers, too. He belives that ANY text can help students learn to read. Some people think his ideas are radical, but they work.Kim Said:
quadriplegic school teaching methods/ resources/ advice?We Answered:
You can not ask for concessions in school and STILL want to be considered mainstream. Concessions for the few consume at every venue (school) the budget meant for the larger number. It is incredibly expensive to make every school accomodate every potential special need and it is unfair to all the other students. The schools are, typically, for the masses who can handle THAT environment. It is an unhappy and unfortunate situation that it can not bend to every extreme to accomodate every situation.
Many students have to work harder to achieve what others seem to grasp with ease . . . if they want it enough, they struggle and find success.
For children with special learning needs, there are accomodations (centralized schools where budget dollars are spent to serve the many of those special needs) rather than costing EVERY school. These well serve to educate and provide diplomas that are recognized and equal to the mainstream school.
Lectures can be recorded. Essays can be recorded and played back for the instructor to grade (verbally inserting paragraph breaks & punctuation as well as other grammar). Testing can be orally presented.

is anyone a geography teacher with resources or teaching ideas they have for year 7 8 and 9 geography? We Answered:
I used to play Carmen Sandiego-like games with my ESL kids, and they loved it. You can either do group verbal games in class, or give them homework with a detective tinge. The best thing about it is that you ca make the stuff really tough, but they'll be so caught up in the detective role-playing element that they'll work through the hardships.Amanda Said:
