Rachel Said:

do you teach key skills level 2 communication?

We Answered:

Hi I teach key skills, yes you can choose the subject, it can be on anything you like as long as you have read and understood the subject, you will summarise both documents separately but you can relate to both documents in each summary. Hope this helps. Please remember your correct grammar and spelling when you write your summaries. Level 2 is at GCSE level so it will have to be articulately written.

What are the challenges of teaching the communication skills of speaking and listening?

We Answered:

if the child isn't taught to listen and speak at least to a minimal level before they are sent to school... then the teacher's job is impossible.

Glenn Said:

How can i teach my spouse to have good communication skills?

We Answered:

Since you're so big on communication, maybe you should have mentioned this to him.

Eugene Said:

if you wanted to teach your child communication skills what would you teach him/her?

We Answered:

Assertiveness. It's a communication style where you stand up for your rights and feelings and express them more openly. You and your child can have a better relationship, and resolve conflicts more constructively, if both of you learn to be assertive.

Clarence Said:

How to teach a 'man' communication skills?

We Answered:

Men are generally not as communicative as women. There have been studies that indicate women talk quite a bit more then men but it is only because we are more visual than verbal. If his other "side" is Mr. Hyde, then I wouldn't try to change him. Men marry women thinking they will never change (looks, especially); women marry men to change them into the person they want. Better to start with a man who is closer to what you want in the end.

I suspect you are still quite young; give life time to happen.

Daisy Said:

Communication seems to be incredibly important, why don't schools teach communication skills.?

We Answered:

The school system doesn't do a lot of practical things to prepare people for life.

They don't teach proper sex techniques, women their basic bodily functions or men their's
They don't teach about STD's
They don't teach you how to think logically in life
They don't teach you about the law
They don't teach you about your rights or legal entitlements
They don't teach you how to get a job or write resumes
They don't teach you how to get along in society or anything about social responsibility
They don't teach you how to save money or the importance of investment
They don't teach you how to run a business
They don't teach you how to be a leader
They don't teach you philosophy or how to be independent and free
They don't teach you a lot you see

Just learning some history and some math and English isn't going to get you anywhere in life.
The problem with the educational system is that it is ISOLATED FROM REALITY
Most college professors have never worked in the REAL work-a-day world - what do they know about practical life?
And that goes for teachers as well - they cannot teach what they know nothing about
Or the system tells them it is forbidden to teach
Politically incorrect to teach
Not allowed to teach
No funding to teach

Right? Hmmmm? Am I right or not? Think about it.

Students leave school ill prepared to face an abysmal future with no prospect for hire, no place to live or go, no social skills, no concept of how to survive. Hell, they don't know where to go to live when their parents kick them out the doors and onto the streets.

I just answered one kid whose parents were throwing him out onto the street. He wanted to know if it was ok if he could sleep in his car.

That is what the school system does for kids.

So you want to know why they don't teach communications - its not just communications, its everything else in life that is practical or real they do not teach.
