Can someone recommend a good (legitimate) place to get work as a conversational English teacher abroad? We Answered:
I taught overseas for many years. First, decide where you want to go.Then you can research language schools on the Internet. BUT you won't get hired at reputable schools, companies, or universities (I've worked at all of them) without good qualifications. There are people without degrees who get hired, especially in Asia, but the pay is terrible and the conditions are brutal -- large classes and very few materials.
You'll need to get some sort of qualification if you want to get decent work overseas. There are people who recruit private students, but the students often want to know your qualifications also.

What's the best book to use in teaching conversational English to adult beginners? We Answered:
Your best bet is to look over the books for conversation books at the Cambridge University Press website. Also look at the the titles at the Alta Books website (links below). I would recommend the Interchange series, but others may disagree.Nina Said:

How do I teach an english conversational class to college spanish speakers? We Answered:
You should begin with finding out from the student WHAT they need to learn: do they need General Conversation? Business English? English to go to University? English so they can visit the sites in London? English to pass a specific exam? This is called Needs Analysis and is explained in the link below.
When you have found out WHAT they need to learn, you can build a syllabus and lessons from there.
Each lesson should concentrate on one specific language item. Present then practice. And then more practice.
There are a lot of ideas here: http://icalweb.com/wiki/index.php?title=…
But I'd strongly recommend getting some training in. It will make your lessons better, your classes easier and more productive and save you time planning as well to say nothing of showing respect to your students!
