Teaching English in Chile???We Answered:
At the moment I am teaching English in Santiago privately. Its not hard to get started, as there is a great need for English teachers here. Companies, private students and institutes are all looking for teachers. Here are a few institutes that I looked into:Wall Street Institute: www.wallstreetinstitute.com
Berlitz: www.berlitz.com
Sam Marsalli English Institute: www.sammarsalli.cl
I would also suggest checking out the listings on mercadolibre.com and the local newspapers, El Mercurio and La Tercera.
Incidentally, I just got back from the doctor's office and my doctor asked for my contact information so she could start taking classes with me. Thats how easy it is to find students lately!
Perry Said:
Are there black people in Chile? We Answered:
In the larger cities, particularly Santiago, there are people from everywhere. This will include a number of foreign students and workers, and some are African. There are also lots of gringos (US americans) of whom many are black. And people from other Latin American countries are often of mixed race which may include African heritage. The "usual" Chilean is some combination of Spanish and Araucano.
¡Buen viaje!
