To teach at the primary level in the school be it CBSE or International school which degree is valid ?

We Answered:

hi dear, yes B.Ed is a must have degree to be a teacher in any school CBSE or International...
but there are few things that almost every school considers. schools do appoint teaches without B.Ed degree but in that case they will never give u they pay scale as per the govt rules.. ur salary will be less then other teachers who have B.Ed degree.

so u can be a teacher without a BEd degree and u can apply in any of the CBSE or intern,. school but then u have to make a little compromise with the salary...! :).

and another important thing that the school will keep u as a temporary teacher without BED. they will make u permanent only if u r B.Ed

so keep trying and all the best.

My husband's best friend is now teaching math at international school in Turkey, and he said that a teaching certification is needed, and also teaching experience in your own country is prefered.
(He used to teach math in the States for several years)

"Teaching English abroad as a second language " is not considered as a "teaching experience", I guess...

I would like to teach in international schools but not sure how to get in? Do I need some special training?

We Answered:

I guess to teach in an International School, you need to have proper degrees in relevant subjects(Atleast a Bachelor Degree in Science/Language/Arts/Physical Edu). Along with those, you would also require a Bachelor of Education degree, to get an appointment. With just a Diploma, It is hard even to get a lab assistant job in International School. Better study little more. You will have more options open then. Good Luck.. :)

If you had the opportunity to teach in an international School where would you teach?

We Answered:

India!

It is an incredible place filled with so much culture. As diverse as we believe we are in America, you see a much broader diversity in beliefs there. Not only would I love to teach there, I feel that by teaching students, I would be learning so much myself. I had the priviledge of visiting a school in India. (I'll try to attach a web address to see the pictures, but I'm not much of a techie.) The curiosity the children had was contagious. They wanted to know more and more about my country and my life. Just as I couldn't stop asking them to describe theirs. There was a tenderness about the people I met in India. A gentle relaxed nature that allowed them to stop and listen with an open mind. This is when learning can take place. When you are open to other possibilities besides those you are accustomed to. I love this question as much as I love the thought of going abroad to teach. Thank you for letting me think on this one!
