I am looking for a new, creative method for teaching story to children, may you help?????!!!!!!!!!?We Answered:
Sure; this is one I have used with success. You will need to do some preparations by cutting out pictures from magazines. When you have a hundred or so pictures toss them into a bag and randomly pull out half a dozen or dozen pictures and set them right side up on a table.Try to work the images into a story. For example, suppose you happened to pull out these pictures: bicycle; little girl; old woman; house on fire; telephone; teacup You might be able to construct a story about a little girl who was walking home from school one day and saw her neighbour's house on fire. She ran home and quickly dialed 911. Because of her quick action, the old woman who was trapped in the house was saved. The old woman was grateful and bought the little girl a shiny new bike. Now the little girl and the old woman have become friends and with her Mom's permission, the little girl goes to visit the old lady on a regular basis. When she does, the old lady makes her tea and serves it in a special teacup.
Get the idea? As you tell the story suggested by the randomly picked pictures, you flesh out the details. This is a great portable story telling game. You can do it anywhere...waiting at the dentist's; waiting in a restaurant for your order; car trips, etc. The stories are always a bit different because the combination of pictures are never the same. What do you think of this idea?

Creative People Needed/Creative Methods of Teaching? We Answered:
Have them research and create (draw, cut-out, color) different bacteria and virus types, learning about the different diseases they cause, wrapping the whole thing up with a reinforced lesson on hand-washing and disease prevention. Have them sing a song that's about 1:30 while washing up; it takes that long to kill germs (the alphabet song one and a half times or happy birthday twice), or half of a popular song.Good luck.

What are some creative teaching methods in overcrowded classrooms? We Answered:
well I just know that in one class I used to have..when I was youngish...my teacher would let us all scoot our desks into a circle and we would sit on them and do a spelling bee or toss a ball around and we'd have to say a fact about some subject we were studying.....I thought it was really funSheila Said:
anybody know any fun teaching methods ? help !?We Answered:
Can you explain tropical heat? And what it may be evolving?I'm an ECE major right now, so i've had to make some lesson plans before. I'm just tired right now & need a jumpstart to creativity.
Since I'm not really sure what that is, I can only do partial thoughts.
Group works is always good, and hands on would be creative because it would be unique to your lesson and not so easy for another group to copy. Is there some "demonstration" you could have groups do, providing them a source of "heat" and an element in which heats up faster when hot than cold? (Maybe using the friction in rubbing their hands together to speed up something?)

any creative ideas for teaching my child to write? We Answered:
I would like to pose a new idea - Why does she need to write right now?It is actually quite developmentally appropriate for kids at 4 NOT to be writing. There are many children that enter kindergarten not writing, yes, even not writing their names. That's ok. If she enjoys letters and words and playing letter and word games, that's wonderful! Keep that enthusiam! Get bath crayons and see what she does with them. Get sidewalk chalk now that summer is arriving. Pour sand into a cookie sheet and let her draw in that. Put shaving cream on the bathroom wall and let her draw in that. Heck, shaving cream is a great thing to help clean with, so put some on the kitchen table too!
In my experience, when children are forced to do something when they aren't interested or ready, it turns them off for a long time coming. If she is able to recognize letters and words and sounds, that is wonderful. I wouldn't push it on paper right now. Believe me, she's going to have to do a lot of writing for the rest of her life, why rush her into copying letters right now?

does anyone have creative experience or methods for teaching five year olds about the days of the week?We Answered:
I don't think 5 is too young, but repetition will help, just by saying them over and over again. Maybe even working with a calendar or make flash cards with each day written out on it so they can see the word too and get used to what "Monday - Sunday" looks like. I know a few songs that have the days of the week in them, if you can find a way to sing them, that would help to. Good luck, it takes lots of patience to teach our kids and between you and the teacher when they get school age, they will learn much. God Bless and have a great day!
