Democracy is not a single system for country to function as well.However, USA has big problems due to its economical interests in 3rd world countries like Kuwait, Iraq, afganistan. And the single way to increase own influence there is changing governments to ones that support American views. Changing governments there has little to do with democracy, however it is done in name of democracy.

No, the teachers don't really teach it. We are, however, a Republic with Democratically elected representatives (not every republic has that). They lean on the democratic aspects in history and government classes solely to energize the voting base into civic participation. There's a dangerous malaise inherent in believing that the individual can't make a difference.It's true that the Federal Government has gotten far larger than the founders intended, and for a while I was pretty scared at the power of a President with a rubber-stamp congress, but the people prevailed last November. It may move slower than we'd like; but the system does eventually work.

I was stationed at Monterey and lived on Ft. Ord. You will get housing there, I wouldn't suggest living out in town. That will kill you. Besides, the commands there are involved in building new housing. The housing that is there now isn't bad, but due to the climate there, you have to be on the look out for mold. And some of the older housing still has lead paint.I'm not sure how much she'll make as a teacher, but the healthcare there is decent. Prices aren't too bad. If you still have questions let me know. Honestly, it's really a matter of which one you'll be happy with twenty years from now. You have the opportunity to make good money, have a steady paycheck, and you will still have your voice. It might seem a little depressing to leave the idea of the lime light behind, but if singing doesn't work out for you, won't you be depressed that you didn't go with this opportunity? Aside from that the only other thing I think you should do is take a week off of work, try out for American Idol, and see where that takes you... if you're meant for the stage you'll get there!!! :) Good luckSandra Said:

The FBI at least wants to see you have 3 years of RELEVANT work experience before you can start as a Special Agent. UPS is not going to cut it.Go with a stint in a law enforcement agency that is always hiring or with the military. If you choose military intelligence, you will be be picking up TWO relevant skills, military experience and intelligence training. If you bite the bullet and go enlisted instead of officer, you can get guaranteed language training. You would get paid to learn a hard target language and learn it far more thoroughly than you could by taking it for four years in college, since the military's language school is 7 hours a day 5 days a week for more than a year, nothing but language. But you can't get there as an officer...
Even if you sign on with a police force or the military tomorrow, it will be several months before you go anywhere. So in the meantime, take that Arabic class. The economy sucks right now, so you have to be creative, but the important thing is not to let more than a few months go by where you aren't building your resume and your credentials, either with relevant work experience or education.
