I need some sites for educational teaching games and to find worksheets and answer? We Answered:
I agree that most of those sites charge, but I find that if I search the topic for which I need materials on Google and include "pdf" or "doc" in my search, I get lots of printables I can use. You can also search for "_____quiz" or " _____lesson" to get interactive quizzes and premade lesson plans. try it. Lots of teachers share info everyday on their personal site, it is just waiting for you to find it! Remember to bookmark blogs and sites you get good info from so you can refer to them directly later.I also recommend visiting the professional organization for your subject/grade. I am a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and their site has a ton of resources for math teachers.
Last but not least, look at sites geared towards learning and kids. The first one that comes to mind is PBS.org. Teachertube.com is a great resource as well-- they started as a youtube-like site for teachers/students to share video, but, now you can go there to look at docs, powerpoints, spreadsheets and more.
Hope this helps...

Do you use HOME-MADE educational games in your homeschool? We Answered:
My kids make their own boardgames, I don't make the games myself. I feel that it's part of their educational experience to be able to logically plan out a board, and make up the rules, and find people to play with.On the other hand, I do usually carry odds-n-ends in my overalls pocket, so if we're waiting in line or in an office, we pull them out and make up a game right then. Usually at least one die, some pennies, and yarn. Other things have included paper clips, random lego pieces, pokemon cards, just what ever I've picked up from the floor while cleaning and forgotten to put away.
