Are You kidding me. You know teachers today havee their doctorate or are just shy a few credits even if they teach 4 year olds.If you think it wil be fun you could never be so wrong. Imagine for a moment that you are reponsible for your first grade children and how fast they move from one area to the next. Then imagine that you had to develop lessons to target the classes improvement in that area. Now you are not expected but required to go further, you need to pull a small group of children who still find this a struggle and teach them a new strategy. Finally, you are expected to meet with them on an individual basis to ensure that those still not able to do may in fact get to the ever important meeting area unpack, respond to their math message, copy their HW and shop for books in under 6 minutes. OH MY GOD!
Noe imagine that you are required to defend you life so to speak infront of a pannel that looks into "HELPING" you. Believe me you don't want that. You get to come in early and report each and every finding to your AP on your owm time.

It's important because kids, even at the younger ages, ned o learn to express themselves in ways beyond just talking. They need to feel the emtion on paper when painting or drawing. It helps to get the energy flowing too! Plus art is fun to kids! Even fingerpainting is important for toddlers, so they can learn color!Randall Said:
