Would I be able to find a teaching job at a community college in Texas with a British BA and MA degree? We Answered:
Absolutely - of course the community college would require official transcripts sent directly from the universities where you earned them, and other background checks, but the ultimate answer is Yes.Judy Said:
What kind of teaching jobs could I consider? Computer teacher? We Answered:
I did a similar thing. Lots of experience in high tech. Two undergrad degrees. I got hired to teach Business and Information Technology (maybe it is called something similar in MA). I was hired under a provisional license and had a set amount of time to get my certification. That involved taking a Masters level program (not a degree) in Career and Technical Education (the new fangled term for vocational) and taking 2 Praxis exams - one in the subject area and one general teaching exam.Someone else said: high demand and they are right. There is a good chance that you (with experience and at least a related undergrad degree) can get hired on a provisional licence.

Tunisian English Literature MA holder working on a PhD. Can I find a teaching job in Canada? We Answered:
academia is all about who you know rather than what you know - therefore network with those in canada who are into your subject area - and you will have a chance of getting a job there.Jackie Said:
How to look for teaching jobs?We Answered:
The masters degree is the problem, no one wants to hire someone off the back with a masters, cuz they have to pay them more. Anyway, try, www.teachers-teachers.com.Wade Said:
What kind of jobs could one with an MA in Classics do, apart from teaching (and minimum wage work, haha)? We Answered:
museum work as a tour guide or curator. you might also write for textbooks or tutor.Sheila Said:
What kind of jobs in other countries could one get with an MA from a US university? We Answered:
Degrees from respectable US colleges are highly sought after around the world, including Europe and Latin America. You should check before you leave but teaching sounds like a natural. It seems to me that many schools in Latin America (in particular) would be very pleased to have a well-educated American on the faculty. If your Spanish language skills are strong, you might look for a job at a US company that has offices in Latin America or Spain, such as a bank or computer company (think Microsoft or Apple). You might also be a candidate for the US Foreign Service.
Good luck!

Hi, does anyone know the importance of having EEC certificate for teaching in preschools of MA state? We Answered:
hello, i work for Head Start in Western Mass. EEC's are not required for teaching assistants, but for teacher and lead teacher positions, yes. my particular company will hire you as a "TA" or teaching assistant, and then pay for you to get any creds you need to advance to teacher or lead teacher status. (better $$$)**please feel free to email me if you have any more questions. I actually have job descriptions for all these positions because of MY position. good luck! thanks for choosing to be a teacher!
