Inquiry based teaching/learning the same as asking critical thinking questions?

We Answered:

It sounds like you are thinking of the same thing.

In our district terminology they are very similar but the key difference is who directs the instruction. Inquiry based learning is student directed. Asking a question that leads to critical thinking can be student directed but is often teacher directed. You ask a question that you know will lead to a discussion and you lead the class in that discussion.

If a researcher were studying the effects of a teaching method on patient learning outcomes;?

We Answered:

For a t-test you need to be able to quantify results. So the researcher will need to have defined assessments that they can perform t-tests on such as passing scores, dates, times, number of students passing, showing up to class. Anything that they can quantify.

What are the best methods for learning to spell english well?

We Answered:

The more exposure you have to words, the better you will remember them, but spelling is a talent like music or art, and one has to have a good visual memory. The best way to handle spelling is to memorize the basic sight words and then realize you're not a good speller and own it. Then look up or ask if you need to know how to spell something.
