does anyone know if online college is any good?

We Answered:

I agree with what others have said on here that you should make sure that any college you consider is regionally accredited. I would also recommend contacting a number of schools to find the best fit for you. Too often people enroll in the first program they see without taking a small amount of time to do a little more research.
This site has some great information on regionally accredited teaching degrees and some colleges to help begin/expand your search:

I think you can fill out your contact info on the forms there and any schools you choose will send you more information on their programs for free. Good Luck!

Are these distance learning courses adiqit for becoming an assistant teacher in primary school?

We Answered:

The last one seems the best for the simple reason that it is a level 3 course. Most schools will only hire you if you are qualified at a level 3 standard. The best thing you could do is look into colleges offering the level 3 course the courses offered in a college are nursery nurse qualifications which when you are completed gives you the option to do nursery nursing or become a teaching assistant/LSO.Students that come into school to complete work experience at the moment are studying level 2. They are unlikely now to get a job in a school or nursery. If they do they will be expected to train to level 3. The other bonus is with a level 3 qualification is that you can start on a higher pay scale and go for higher jobs. With level 2 you are looking at minimum wage.

Teaching Assistant and Pre K Teaching?

We Answered:

This will depend on whether you would like to work in the public or private school setting.

To teach in a Public school setting you will need to complete at least a bachelor's degree (4 year) You can teach prek in a private setting with just an associate's. However, you will be able to request higher pay if you have a BS.

The Administrative Assistant Field and it's Changes?

We Answered:

I've been an administrative professional for 20+ years working mostly in the legal profession. I've now been virtual for 8 years - as a firm administrator for a law firm, a senior paralegal, a legal assistant and an administrative assistant for an Internet publisher... #1 piece of advice, have GREAT computer skills. Not passable, but truly amazing. I'm a certified trainer on Microsoft products and that's what's gotten me most of my jobs and promotions. Learn Word and Excel backwards and forwards and also be extremely proficient on PowerPoint and Outlook. Checkout Brainbench.com http://brainbench.com/xml/bb/individuals… for certification testing in a variety of fields.

And this seems obvious but oftentimes isn't... make sure your written skills (grammar, punctuation, spelling) are top notch. I can't tell you how many resumes I see with spelling and grammatical errors.

Good luck!
