If what you're doing is making you so unhappy then you should just quit. As for getting your A-levels you should try ICS learning as they'll send you what you need in order to get the ualifications you need, including those that can help you with becoming a teaching assistant. You won't be hired straight off the bat without any training or qualifications and you can't get into uni without at least 5 A*-C GCSE's including Maths and English and without a certain amount of A-levels...usually 2-3.

You could also see about going to your local college or a sixth form and getting your A-levels that way, provided of course you obtained your GCSE's.
