Does anybody have the Parental Driver Education Affidavit DL-90B form for parent taught drivers ed?We Answered:
If you have the packet, but not the affidavit, call the DPS Parent-Taught Office at 512-424-5623.Tom Said:
has anyone taught the parent taught drivers education class in texas? We Answered:
My parents did that for me about 7 years ago. I dont know exactly how they requested the books, but back then (it may still be the same) it was $20 for the driver's ed book and the parent does study sessions with the child. You do it at your own pace. I did one hour a day. There is a log you have to fill out and the parent signs and sends back to the state officials. You still have to take the written tests at the DPS, but it was so much easier for us!Texas Department of Public Safety,

What does highschool drivers education teach you?We Answered:
Driver education in high school taught me nothing. However, stealing my mom's car keys at night while she was sleeping to go joy riding with my friends taught me a lot.Erin Said:
I just got my Texas Drivers Handbook and parent taught driver education packet. What should I do next?We Answered:
The parent taught program is graduated so you must meet the different levels as needed. The packet will have logs for each module that must be recorded as you progress through the program. To get your drivers permit you must submit the request to the location where you will take the written test. Then you will take the log that verifies you have completed the needed hours of written work to take the test. You will get your permit and begin to drive with your parent instructor and log the time. you must also complete the worksheets in each module. after that time is complete you turn it in to DPS and get a restricted liscence. Continue the modules and then graduate to your unrestricted TxDL. Good luckDelores Said:
Parent Taught Drivers Education or should I wait?We Answered:
Well, if you go for the parent taught drivers license, you can get more experience on the roads that way, then when you turn 18 you can go for your actual license. If you are on your permit now (which I think you currently have now), you can go for your road test whenever you feel ready and comfortable to drive by yourself.
