How can I get a job Teaching English in Europe?

We Answered:

You won't get a work visa without an employment offer.
You won't be able to work here without a work visa either.
You also will have to be able to speak the national language of the country unless you work in an English speaking or International school.
So I guess you should contact the schools themselves or look up for more info on the net about those schools and vacant teaching positions
Other than that good luck!!!

Will a DUI disqualify one from teaching English in Europe or getting residency there?

We Answered:

I expect it would depend on the country in question, but I doubt it very much indeed if were just a simple DUI. I wouldn't worry about it. People in Europe drink too! :)

Philip Said:

What are the pros and cons of teaching english in europe?

We Answered:

In Amsterdam and Copenhagen who will you teach? Dutch and Danes already speak phenomenal English. The market for English teachers will be quite low. If you've also got strong qualifications as a editor (STRONG...not just being a native speaker) or could specialize in accent reduction (again, not just being a typical ESL teacher who knows that people have trouble making the "th" sound but can't do a whole lot else), you might be able to find better paying private customers, but it will take tim.

The people who don't know English well in these two cities will very likely be poor immigrants who didn't pass through the excellent public secondary schools (high schools) of these countries. They'll need to learn English but won't be able to pay much.
