Teaching English in Taiwan?Or teaching English in another country??Read details? We Answered:
I have taught overseas in several countries, including Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. I think right now South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong pay the most.My advice: go to the websites linked below and read articles about teaching in countries you are interested in. Then, go to Dave's ESL Cafe and post some questions on a message board related to the country you are considering. Then start to put together a plan. Good luck!

Can someone whose mother tongue is not english teach english in south korea? We Answered:
I suppose it's possible, but very unlikely that any school would hire you. Although I was at a school that had a teacher from Italy. His English was excellent and he had almost no detectable accent. Also, he applied for the job in person, so they knew how his English was.Doris Said:

Is cape town in south africa a safe place to volunteer for white people? We Answered:
You will be fine. I hope you British though. We don't speak American English and the American spelling and grammar will be considered wrong here.Like "thunee man said"... we don't go around ambushing white people. On the whole all ethnic groups have a peaceful attitude towards each other. It is the VERY few extremists who exhibit intolerant racist views, it does not represent the views of 90% of South Africans. We find these racist idiots all over the world. We have many problems, it has a lot to do with the effects of past regimes, poor leadership, and the strong wealth divide. Most problems has it's roots in economic factors and not racial. Please mind people like Malema though, most of us think he is a complete idiot.
I think you will like many South Africans, regardless of their ethnicity. I am sure you will be appreciated for your work, too.
Edit : oops, you Australian. I personally love Aussies - they so friendly. Welcome to the REAL outback though ;-)
