Any advice on teaching English at an international school in Taiwan? We Answered:
Hi Divadesa, I am teaching English to university students in Turkey, but really interested in teaching children to discover the relationship between the first and the second language learning and teaching. Recently, something has occured to my mind. I would like to share it with you. Why don't we try using "toys" in classes to focus the students' attention on the tasks they are dealing with. There are lots of toys around that can be used for the purpose of education to make our students creative in learning a language. Toys can be chosen according to their interests to enhance their intellect such as problem solving activities so that teaching can be fun for the students. I hope this idea will be helpful. I wish you success.Corey Said:
Teaching English to International students?? Help please!?We Answered:
This may prove to be a sticky business. Tutoring requires time. Are you going to do this for free? Are you willing to give up many hours per week?Whatever...Search ICAL and inquire about learning to teach ESL. You can also simply go at it by getting a suitable course book and related materials and working through them with the students.
