Wendy Said:

Teaching economics?

We Answered:

LOL, and please do excuse me for laughing but I totally get where you are coming from. My high school economics experience was minimal, but it was certainly a semester of mono-tone boredom. When I took Macro and Micro in college, I had the same instructor for both and his mono-tone was worse than my high school days. I then realized that it must be a prerequesite for the course and I lost interest in taking economics until I had to take an International Economics course for my Masters Degree. Mind you, several years had passed and the Masters level teacher had a mono-tone voice as well.

I don't teach economics, but I do teach business, management, and English. The closest thing I did to aid my students in an economic type project is have them track a company in the stock market for a term and give a presentation on how well or how poorly they performed during the term. The students enjoyed this, especially those whose stocks didn't fair so well but there was no real money invested by the student. Good Luck.
