Education Administration or Teaching?We Answered:
I woould personally take the teaching job, but that's because i prefer to teach that sit at a desk all day. in a teaching position you can form real significant relationships with your students, which is probably my favourite part of teaching. However, you need to think about what you would prefer. Are you happy to do an administration job or would you get bored easily? Which job appeals more to you (be honest with yourself).
Good Luck! :)

What other jobs besides teaching can I do with a Bachelors degree in elementary education? We Answered:
Although you training in education is specialized in early childhood education, that doesn't mean you can't teach at other levels. Corporate training comes to my mind. Also, it doesn't necessarily have to be teaching. Human resources would be another fit. In general, a position that requires interaction with other persons in a education, training or support role would be a fit.-- Liam

My wife is at her wit's end with her teaching job. What other jobs can she do with a degree in education? We Answered:
No advice for you, but I too am a teacher. It is becoming an unbearable profession at times, especially when you work in financially unstable school systems, like I do. Just wanted to let you know that your wife is not alone. Has she thought about teaching in a private school? The pay is less, generally, but the job is...well, it's like teaching SHOULD be. Best of luck to you both.Sylvia Said:
Are there any other in demand teaching jobs than bilingual, special education, math/science?We Answered:
ESL (which is somewhat different than bilingual, but you may have meant them as the same thing) is in demand. After that regular English teachers are in more demand than say other teachers not mentioned. But not in HIGH demand.
I think that social studies teachers aren't in high demand, but I also think that if you planning to teach that you will be able to find a job (maybe not in the school/town/district you want but some where).
For the most part I think Phys Ed teachers can find jobs, but I think more and more are expected to have some kind of other special skill (friend of mine was a PE teacher who also taught EMT stuff to high school students).
When you get to Art and Drama, you get to the danger zone of, does the school board have funding for you. These are the first programs to be dropped if there are budget cuts and last ones to be funded if their is a budget surplus. How many art teachers are there in a school? 1 maybe 2.

special education teaching jobs sought? We Answered:
Special Ed is in high demand in the US. There is a ton of government paperwork involved, but plenty of jobs.Enrique Said:
can you get teaching jobs without having a qualification in education? We Answered:
You can - you need to have certain GCSEs and a degree though. You can train for a GTP (Graduate Teacher Programme) with a school, which is basically on the job training. The TDA website will answer most of your questions - if not give them a ring - teachers are always in demand and they will offer you lots of encouragement to go for it!
