Can I Get A Teaching Job In Korea if Husband Stationed There? We Answered:
you may be allowed to teach informally conversational English. In Japan that usually means as a teacher's aid in the schools or as a private tutor. Korea may be much the same.
the Base Family Support center will have a class on how to accomplish this. as long as you are command sponsored you can use this resource.

Is EPIK or YBM better for teaching English in Korea? We Answered:
Pagoda I would strongly recommend against working there. YBM depending on the management team you are working with can be decent. EPIK also has it's own problems and I strongly advise you visit Dave's ESL Cafe to research and ask questions about these places. Don't rely on just one person. Honestly I have had a bad experience with YBM as an employer and Pagoda as a potential employer. Hogwans are good to start at, but they put the most pressure on people to do things their way. Public schools can be quite a bit better, but their regulations are quite a bit tougher then hagwons since they are a government agency. You need to ask a lot of questions of the hagwon when you are interviewed like: what are the working hours? how many hours a month are required? Are the classes 40 or 50 minutes? (and also ask if these are counted as an hour or as only the amount of time taught) You also need to ask to speak to the current native speaking teacher. Request to speak to them in private outside of the school so that the boss isn't standing over their shoulder listening to the conversation. Ask if they are paid on time, if anyone has gotten fired and for what reasons, if the employer is giving health insurance and pension as required.
If you use a recruiter, don't be swindled into accepting the first offer or pressured into taking anything. Recruiters can be like sharks and they smell fresh blood.
There is literally so much information that you need that I can't provide all of it here. I would again highly recommend you start reading on Dave's ESL Cafe in the Korean Job Discussion section.

Where can i advertise a teaching job in korea in the net for free?We Answered:
Gumtree lets you place free ads, is really widely used (is in the UK anyway) and is available in cities all around the world - you might have to place a separate ad for each city which might take a while though oops....http://www.gumtree.com
Click on the link on the left hand side for cities other than London Hxx
