Where can I find jobs teaching English in Satun Province, Thailand?

We Answered:

If your a English native speaker your have no problem, just go and get the word out your looking for work as a teacher. But don't understand why your so concern about working near a border country. If you get a type B visa and work permit you don't have to leave. I have been to many province and always got asked about teaching, but it's not my cup of tea, plus my English sucks. I am surprised you been here and don't know some of this information already. But try this website http://www.ajarn.com it's a website for teachers by teachers here in Thailand.

Never heard that you had to leave every 90 days on B Visa with work permit, i doubt that very much. Maybe you have to report to immigrations every 90 days, not leave the country.

What are my chances of getting a job teaching english in Japan?

We Answered:

Are you really proficient in all of those languages? If so, that is quite impressive. So only from summer classes and R.Stone?

If you are fluent in all those languages why waste your talent doing a job that monkeys could do? English education in Japan is usually taught by 22 year olds who want to pick up a few Japanese girls before going back to the USA and getting a real job.

All you do is stand in the corner of the class during lesson time while the Japanese teacher speaks broken English, and then you do a listening exercise where the students listen and repeat after you. People say that job is like being a "human tape recorder."

So why not translation/interpreting/business/engine… Especially since so many Japanese companies are manufacturing in China, there have to be many opportunities available.

It's an unfortunate thing, because there are some serious, good teachers here but English in schools is a joke. Find more serious employment.

i want a technical teaching job in singapore or malaysia. Any body having idea about this?

We Answered:

try "teach abroad" as your search term. There are several good sites. I know some friends who had luck with www.teachabroad.com. One came from Mexico and worked in Illinois and Boston. Another is working in Argentina and is going to London next. You weren't specific about what technological field you wanted to teach, but there are quite a variety of jobs and volunteer opportunities out there. Check it out. I am not employed by them, but I have been looking at their newsletters.

Info on how to get a job teaching English in Malaysia?

We Answered:

Go to the remote areas, not in towns if you're really wanting to teach English as a 'public service' though the pay can be low. But if you teach in tuition centers in big cities, you'll get lots of money.
