When Is Someone Going To Investigate How All The Radical Professors Got Jobs Teaching? We Answered:
If parents did a better job parenting and provided their children with a good foundation they wouldn't have to worry about their children being brainwashed. Unless brainwashing is what you call it when someone disagrees with you.Alex Said:
WHy do people teach thier kids not to lie?We Answered:
I taught my kids not to lie because I want them to take responsibilty for their actions. HOWEVER, they were also taught that there are times when lying is ok - like not tattling, not telling someone they dont like them....Danielle Said:
Why do parents lie to their kids that Santa exists? We Answered:
so that they learn and understand that christmas (santa) and easter (easter bunny) are special celebrations, even though they are too young to understand about God and Jesus and religion.the lie is not that bad, bacause the children are not hurt by it.

Why do parents teach their kids to lie but assume that the kids won't lie to them?We Answered:
This is a huge, serious, problem. My stepson (now 18) is a liar. Although we called him on his lies, his mom wouldn't. She said he was just "embellishing". It's been going on since I've known him and it is getting worse. The bottom line is, because of his lying, he has very few friends. The friends he does have can't trust him. We live in a small town and he has a terrible reputation for lying.
He's a charming, smart, good looking young man but it's difficult to be around him. As I told him, living with a liar is like living with a stranger. We never know what to believe and we don't really know him because we don't really trust him.
I wish I had a better answer or a solution but I don't. Just be prepared to deal with dishonesty and know that you can't really trust much of what they say. Let them know you're not going to be fooled by their lies. Good luck.

Why do we lie to our kids about santa? We Answered:
I'd like to believe that we mislead our children about Santa because there is still a little bit of him in us. Being able to watch their faces light up when we mention his name is a joy that keeps us telling them the story of santa until they are old enough to know the truth. Yes, we do teach them not to lie but what real harm is in it to have them believe in something mythical?, We also tell them the tooth will come to get their missing tooth. I just don't see the harm , but that's just my opinion.
