In Singapore, the main language of instruction is english. the world revolves around English too.Here, it definity benefit the society as a whole as the students graduate not juz with knowledge of the subject, but a good enough masterly of english language and this places us in a good advantage poz over students from other countries, when we come out to work, it is also easier, as English is our main language.
same holds true for countries like India.
compared to china, where main language used is Chinese. their students when they try to come abroad to study are disadvantaged. .... they cant even read the street signs or the menu - much less hold a presentation.....

Are you from Malaysia? The question structure is a bit skewed...Anyways, it allows Malaysians to compete in the global economy, allows them to be a part of the global workforce. Internationalizes the country. Means that training abroad is a very viable option. Fuels investment into the country because other countries view it as a progressive move.
