Judith Said:

hey can you help me find a title for this movie im writing a script for?

We Answered:

I thought Yavin....but that's kinda like avatar :

If it helps, common pitfalls for titles are:

-vague titles: curiosity can drive audience, but don't risk a vague title.
-bland titles: the viewer wants to remember your title. Many titles fall through memory's cracks.
-character name titles: unless the main character is 'Batman', basing a movie title after a character provides no clue about the movie's theme.

having said that, perhaps something space related, the name of the campaign..?

im writing a script for my drama devised A-Levels.. im in desperate need of help!!?

Okay first off accent is the way in which words are pronounced – so a Brummie or Geordie accent has probably not changed that much in the last 50 60 years. What has happened is that more people sound more local rather than received pronunciation (RP) – which we know more as BBC English, the Queen’s English or a bit posh. If I was to hazard a guess I think your 50’s teacher was more likely to be RP and your 70s a local accent I’d suggest you went more with vocab and the language you sue to differentiate the periods you are covering.

I’d advise against the sl*g bit in the 50’s where a teacher being proper was probably more likely to berate your student for not behaving like a lady, letting the side down etc rather than what your teacher might believe to be vulgar language. Also in terms of your plot and fashion not sure short skirts were really a thing until the 60’s – for 50s fahion think Grease!

I am a bit vague on the 70’s but might be worth talking to your family about what their teachers were like??

Good luck it sounds like it could be really good.
