I thought IUPUI used to offer such a course in their Continuing Education (non degree) program but I have been unable to unearth it.I did come across this website - it might help if your employee is at a VERY basic level.

Why do some people put headers for each one of their paragraphs in a report? We Answered:
Because engineers are very busy people and will always try to cut corners whenever they can. Adding the section headers makes it easier for the reader to find relevant information quickly without having to peruse large sections of text.Peggy Said:

How can I get a career in writing without having to teach it?We Answered:
So...I guess a writing career is out of the question, then? I'm not sure of the point of your question. Do you want people to say, 'Oh, you're wrong! Writing is so much fun and you should go for it!?"Pick another career and move on with your life, you don't need to inform all of us here about what you've chosen. You don't just up and say one day that you want a career in creative writing, lol. It's not like graduating college and getting a job as an investment banker. You have to bring with you the goods beforehand if you ever want to break into the industry. No one is going to pay you for a novel that's not written and ideas are worthless. I guess you'll be writing creatively for your own enjoyment? Plus, I'm not sure how someone can like something, but not want to try at it or even do it for personal enjoyment. THat's like me saying I love playing the guitar but never want to learn it. Doesn't make much sense.
What's the point of this question? You're not going to have a creative writing career unless you actually like writing. You don't like writing. Think about it. If you liked creative writing then you'd write for the fun of it, not because you see fame, celebrity, or a pay check at the end of the day. I've written the first draft of a novel and I wrote it because I actually like creative writing. It was so much fun writing it, and getting it published is nothing more than a distant thought right now, because I'm more focused on honing my writing skills rather than trying to get rich quick, which ain't gonna happen in publishing.
You can't even bother to write for enjoyment, so that means you don't like it. It seems like you don't want to work hard for the money... Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Is technical writing being taught well in educatioinal institutions these days?We Answered:
That kind of writing doesn't occur until late college or even grad school. Writing is a skill which has been neglected for many years and the push for good writing on the elementary level is recent.
