In Florida, I don't think most teachers officially teach grammar until middle school (sixth grade), but I learned grammar beginning in the fourth grade in Illinois. You can go to your state's Department of Education website, just do an internet search for it, and look up the state standards, in FL called the Sunshine State Standards, and you'll find out in exactly what grade your state requires prepositions to be taught to be taught and mastered. There is a series of really good books designed to teach parts of speech by Ruth Heller, and I believe they are all poetic and picture books.Everett Said:
