Should I obtain a PhD or MA if I want to teach at the middle school level? We Answered:
A ph.d could actually HURT your chances. Only a masters is needed to teach at the middle school level and if you are overqualified (which you would be with a ph.d) a school board would probably be very reluctant to hire you to teach middle school. Not to mention the fact that they will not want to pay you more even though you have more education.Esther Said:
ART TEACHERS! why do you think art classes should be taught throughout elementary and middle school? We Answered:
The arts (not just visual art, but music, drama, dance etc) allow students to express themselves creatively. It uses a different part of the brain. It gives some students success at school when they normally don't have any.Check this article out for some more information

do you think sex education should be taught in middle school? We Answered:
Yes. If they are not actually engaging in it, they are thinking about it. It is appropriate for them to understand what it really is and its consequences. Instruction to elementary students that is age appropriate should be done as well.Arnold Said:

Any ideas for a 4th of July activity/lesson to do with an English class(middle school level)? We Answered:
play jeopardy with the class. have the categories relate to us history. offer the winning team a couple extra credit points. my 8th grade teacher used to do this with my class. he would put us into teams and exempt the winning team from a hw assignment (provided we researched the topic that the hw was about). awesome game. everyone loved it.
